On the right is the original sculpture. The bird and cadge
are two separate models and were the guides for a three dimensional pantograph which cut the steel moulds that made the music
box on the left. All I had to go by were the designers hand sketched concepts.
This model has 1/4" walls, and was used for sand
casting.
These two patterns were used to create roto molds.
This simple pattern was made with styrofoam and masking
tape.
The lower middle section of this model was a fiberglass
layup formed over the above pattern.
This finial pattern was cast in two sections to crate several
field units for mobile kiosks.
